Outlook is unable to connect to proxy server. (Error Code 0)


When Outlook initially opens, a dialogue box (below) comes up.  It also prompts you for username and password.  But when you enter your user name and password, it does not accept/authenticate.  And you cannot connect to the server to send/receive emails.



Remove the following program: uninstall.BrowserSafeguard.exe, Websearchy.exe and BrowserSafeguard.exe

by running, rKill (1st) then, TDSSKiller (screenshot below) and then Malwarebytes to clear up the rest of their files.  Mentioned programs can be safely downloaded from, bleepingcomputer.com


Then go to your Internet Explorer LAN settings and make sure proxy server is unchecked.

Internet Options > Connections (tab) > LAN settings > uncheck, “Use a proxy server for your LAN..”


*If you cannot access any websites afterwards, go back to the, LAN settings and uncheck, “Automatically detect settings”
