Website Keeps Prompting For Username And Password

At work, I came across an issue that had me question my skills as a computer technician.  A user changed her network password and was able to login to her computer.  But when she loaded the intranet site, it prompted her for her username and password.  Entering her credentials was not successful in her attempts to access the intranet page.

(Above) is the password dialogue prompt that appear when trying to access intranet website, even though correct password was used.

The following is the step to resolve this:

Open up the Command Prompt and enter the following command: RunDll32.exe keymgr.dll,KRShowKeyMgr

(Above) from here you can remove the stored password.

Another option with similar outcome is to do the following…

(Above) open up the Command Prompt and run the following command: control keymgr.dll

(Above) is the outcome of the "control keymgr.dll" command. From here you can remove the stored password.
